A short, plain-English overview of how APART handles information.

2. What APART collects

APART has no user accounts, contact forms, comments, newsletters, advertising, or optional analytics and tracking services. APART does not create server-side player profiles or store personal game histories in a database.

When you visit the site, the hosting infrastructure may process technical request information such as your IP address, timestamp, requested resource, and browser or device details. This is used to deliver and secure the site.

3. Local game state and cookies

Your guesses, progress, and results are stored only in your browser on your device. They are not sent to APART and are not linked to an account. You can remove them through your browser's site data settings. If browser storage is disabled, the game remains playable but progress will not persist.

The browser may also cache static APART files through the service worker for technical offline and loading behavior. This cache does not contain a server-side player profile.

The public game does not use tracking or marketing cookies. The protected admin login uses one short-lived, HTTP-only session cookie for authorized operators only.

4. Hosting

APART is delivered through Vercel. Vercel may process technical information needed for hosting, security, and reliability. See the Vercel Privacy Notice and, where applicable to the account configuration, the Vercel Data Processing Addendum.

APART does not operate a visitor database and does not store individual game results on the server. Hosting retention depends on the provider's operational and security configuration.

5. Third-party links and content generation

After a reveal, APART may show links to Wikidata or other sources. Opening one takes you to that provider, where its own privacy rules apply. The public game does not fetch those sources in the background.

Daily content generation runs privately in GitHub Actions. Player guesses and game progress are not sent to the AI content-generation workflow.
